SSR Healing Report – March, 2018
- Basic Information
Miss O, a kindergartener – according to her mother, she got a cold, had a fever, and complained about her illness, so she did not go to school and instead rested at home. - SSR Application and Feedback
We decided to apply SSR to the kid before she went to bed, so I asked her mother to check first if she would be willing to do it, and she asked, “What is SSR?”
“SSR is something to help you relax and sleep well.”
She said, “Oh! Okay, then I got it.”
Since she was used to sleeping with her mother and usually kept talking with her mother before she was really asleep, so before we started I reminded her to lie down and not chat with her mother anymore.
“OK!” She agreed readily.
Then I did forty minutes of SSR application for her.
After the application was over, the mother reported that the kid soon fell asleep and even snorted.
On the next day when I followed up the kid’s situation, her mother said that she was wide awake, taking out all the toys that had been disinfected and stored in the box and making the house messy with toys everywhere.
“Sigh… she was really not feeling well yesterday so I decided to let her take one more day off and rest at home today, but she was unexpectedly energetic… I should have sent her to school early this morning!”
As a mother as well, I seemed to be able to realize this kind of ambivalence. I was worried when the kid felt uncomfortable, but when the kid got better with lots of energy, I then became short tempered by many of their unpredictable behaviors. However, the kids recovering health would always make the parents feel much more at ease.
